And a few recent weddings too!
I had two recent weddings here in Oshkosh. Jessica and Josh on September 8th and Julie and Ryan on September 29th. Both of the brides chose Salon-Mode for their hair and makeup. I got to shoot at the salon both times. It is a great place to shoot and the people there are nice.

Time to get caught up! Whirlwind of weddings!!!!!!
Man, I suck at blogging...! I have a bunch of weddings to show you guys who actually read this blog. :) This Spring has been busy with weddings every weekend!
Here is one from early May (the day before my birthday). This one took place in La Crosse, WI. Andrea and Frank had there ceremony and reception right along the Mississippi River. Got some great stuff there.
Mid-May brought me to Wauwatosa to photograph Erin and Ryan. Was a fun day and we even got to shoot some pictures with a 1968 Camaro. Nice!
Over Labor Day weekend I photographed TWO weddings!!! On Saturday I rode up to Neenah to photograph Leigh and Matt. It ended up being a rainy day but we made the best of it. I'm glad I keep a large white umbrella in my car!
On Sunday it was sunny and warm. Near perfect day for a wedding (aren't they all though?). I got to spend the day with Jodi and Mike. This was my first full wedding at the Paine Art Center.
At the begining of June I drove up to Green Bay to spend some time with Emily and Ed. They had their wedding at Old St. Joseph church at St. Norbert College. What a neat place for a ceremony.
Up next is April and Evan. They got married right here in Oshkosh. Conveniently only 3/4 mile from where I live! What's cool is I graduated with her brother. Small world! We also took some pictures at the Paine Art Center.
Stay tunes for Jenn and Phil whom I just recently did their engagement shoot in Milwaukee!

Also had an engagement shoot a few weeks ago. I had a blast with Phil and Jenni wandering around Milwaukee, WI. I also got to got to the cool looking art museum for the first time. That place has lots of potential for portraits!!! Looking forward to their big day!!!

Rubber Chicken Flling!
Here in Wisconsin you can find some unusual stuff going on.... My wife discovered last year that the town of Princeton, WI has this thing called the "Rubber Chicken Fling". If you know me I love all things chicken and birds in general. I just had to go and see what this was all about... And it happened to be on my birthday as well (a bonus!).
Here is a slideshow of the days events:

Peeps!!!!
Abby, my wife, is a kindergarten teacher in Omro, WI. Every year one of the classes has the "chick unit". Basically the class gets a bunch of eggs from a local farmer and raises them until they are small chicks. I love chicks. I HAD to document this. One day I was lucky to see one of them hatch. It was so AWESOME!
Here is a slideshow of the process and a few portraits of the chicks at the end:
Lots of Chicks!!!

Back from my trip!!!
Well, it's been while since my last post. I've been kind of busy with a couple of weddings of which you will see a few pics here soon. I also just got back from a 2.5 week trip to the Southwest photographing landscapes in northern AZ and southern Utah. Such cool places. I will need to return! It also seemed that the cold weather followed me there and back. Had cold, rain, snow, sun, clouds, thunder, lightning...you name it...I had it... Then I came back home and it got cold again... Oh well... Here is a link to some trip pictures on my website:

Owls!!!!
Thanks to an email post from the Wisconsin Society of Ornithology I got wind of some screech owls over by the Oshkosh YMCA. Sure enough, there was the grey sceech owl when I stopped there Wednesday about 1PM. Got a few snaps of it but the little bugger never opened his eyes!!! Oh well. I returned the next morning the there was the red morph screech owl. AWESOME! He actually loooked at us a few times before I had to leave for work.

Chasing Owls!
Went and chased owls today. Got up early this morning and went down to Horicon National Wildlife Refuge. There have been numerous and consistent sightings of a snowy owl right off Hwy 49. I got there just after sunrise and there he was...
Later on after stopping home I headed over to Killsnake Wilderness Area. It is just a little East of Chilton. There I should find short-eared owls. Got there a little after 3 and saw this guy sitting on the side of the road....
